Women in Business Connections (WIBC) is built on collaboration, education, respect, and genuine relationships. WIBC primarily serves women business owners, professionals, and entrepreneurs while welcoming aligned partners, speakers, and supporters who contribute to our mission.
What WIBC Is (and Is Not)
· WIBC is: relationship-first community, peer learning, resource sharing, collaboration, and support.
· WIBC is not: a lead-generation group, a pitch room, or an industry-exclusive organization
Industry Inclusivity (No Exclusivity)
WIBC does not offer industry exclusivity. Multiple businesses from the same industry are welcome and encouraged to participate. Members are expected to differentiate themselves through their expertise, specialty, experience, and unique approach to serving clients.
1) Build Relationships First
Prioritize genuine connection before promotion. Sharing what you do is welcome; repeated unsolicited pitching, pressure tactics, or DM spamming is not.
2) Participate and Engage
Attend meetings when possible, contribute to discussions, ask questions, share resources, and show up prepared to add value.
3) Support Fellow Members
Look for opportunities to encourage, collaborate with, refer, and celebrate other members. We believe there is room for everyone to succeed.
4) Contribute to a Positive Environment
Promote collaboration over competition. Respect differing viewpoints and lived experiences. Constructive discussion is welcome; gossip, personal attacks, harassment, discrimination, and negativity that harms the community are not.
5) Amplify the Community
When possible, support WIBC and fellow members through social media engagement, sharing events, highlighting accomplishments, and helping increase visibility for the community.
6) Respect Time and Commitments
Arrive on time, RSVP when requested, and honor commitments made to fellow members, speakers, volunteers, and organizers.
7) Conduct Business Professionally
Members are expected to conduct business honestly, ethically, and professionally. WIBC does not endorse or guarantee the services of individual members.
8) Respect Privacy and Confidentiality
Information shared within meetings, member discussions, and community groups should remain confidential unless permission has been given to share it. – Do not share another member’s story, contact information, screenshots, or recordings without consent.
9) Follow Event and Venue Policies
Members and guests are expected to follow the policies of meeting venues, event locations, online platforms, and community spaces used by WIBC.
10) Help Us Grow the Community
Invite aligned guests, share opportunities, volunteer when able, and contribute ideas that strengthen WIBC and its mission.
Our Guiding Principle
Be the kind of member you would want to meet.
Show up. Participate. Support others. Build meaningful relationships. Together, we create a stronger community for women in business.
